- Supported the distributed firewall servers and networks portion of Fidelity Investments’ Internet presence.
- Responsible for engineering, implementing and maintaining the Internet firewall structure for Fidelity Investments, encompassing 842 SUN enterprise servers providing proxies, gateways, ipfilter, webservers and relays, across three data centers and two remote hosting facilities.
- On-call to resolve rapidly any disruption to www.fidelity.com, 24 x 7.
- Perl and mySQL development aimed at simplifying and making modular and then improving the monitoring being done within the firewall environment to predict and spot potential problems before they affects business processes.
- Maintained, updated, tested, and deployed the stripped Solaris OS used in the Fidelity firewall environment, which involved tripwire, IPfilter, ISS security scanner audit and correction, custom script packages, and a jumpstart build server for consistency.
- Deployed Veritas Volume Manager and filesystem, Veritas Firstwatch and Cluster Server on Solaris.

- Responsible for corporate LAN encompassing network services on Linux (DNS, DHCP, silverplatter.com, FTP, monitoring),

- Repaired DNS structure. Moved configuration of DNS forward to centralize control in one location. Made it clear, documented and sustainable.
- Re-wrote backup script to work (and tested as such).
